MonaLean™ by Theramone Health™ is specifically designed to increase the endogenous production of natural GLP-1 hormone, improve the activity of GLP-1, enhance the body’s response to GLP-1, and thus eventually help healthy blood glucose, suppress food intake and lose body fat, specifically as part of a healthy and active lifestyle including a balanced diet *. We selected plant-based, safe, and effective ingredients based on the latest scientific research, and carefully formulated them in the way to deliver the best possible GLP-1 signaling effect.
MonaLean™ contains green tea (Camellia sinensis) leaf extract, gardeniae (Gardenia jasminoides Ellis) fruit extract, turmeric (Curcuma longa) root extract, black pepper (Piper nigrum) extract, fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum) seed extract, ginseng (Panax ginseng) root extract, white kidney bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) extract, berberine (from Berberis aristata bark extract), and chromium (III) an essential trace mineral. Further, each of these ingredients has been commonly consumed by humans as food sources for centuries and thus has an undebatable safety profile.
Green tea (Camellia sinensis) leaf extract and its active ingredient (epigallocatechin gallate, EGCG) have been used for healthy blood glucose and weight loss for a long history *. Green tea leaf extract is multifunctional - stimulating GLP-1 production, supporting healthy insulin levels, helping healthy blood glucose, suppressing hunger, and thus supporting fat loss and weight loss *. Clinical studies [1, 2] further showed that supplementation with green tea leaf extract resulted in significant weight loss, reduced waist circumference, and a consistent decrease in total cholesterol and LDL plasma levels without any adverse effects in women with central obesity. They further suggested that green tea extract might help inhibiting ghrelin secretion and increasing adiponectin levels, improving insulin resistance and increasing GLP-1 production *.
Berberine (from Berberis aristata bark extract) has been shown to effectively help healthy weight management through multiple pathways including the modulation of gut microbiota, gene regulation, intestinal permeability and hepatic gluconeogenesis * [3]. Berberine has also been shown to increase GLP-1 production [4, 5], and thus stimulate insulin release, regulate glucose, suppress hunger, and help body fat loss and weight loss *.
Inhibiting related digestive enzymes is an alternative way to decrease carbohydrate digestion for healthy blood glucose. Gardeniae (Gardenia jasminoides Ellis) fruit extract was shown to robustly inhibit pancreatic α-amylase activity [6]. It was further shown to significantly increase GLP-1 production, even higher than that of green tea leaf extract [7].
Turmeric (Curcuma longa) root extract and its major active curcumin, have versatile application in traditional Chinese medicine and ayurvedic medicine. Numerous studies [8] have shown that turmeric root extract can help protect against diet-induced obesity via multiple pathways *. Curcumin has low bioavailability, primarily due to poor absorption, rapid metabolism, and rapid elimination. Black pepper (Piper nigrum) extract or its major active piperine can significantly improve curcumin bioavailability up to 20-fold [9]. Turmeric root extract (95% curcumin) and black pepper extract (95% piperine) - these duals exert robust synergistic benefits against inflammation that were caused by extra fat, and thus stimulate release of insulin, improving insulin activities * [9].
Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum) seed extract is a traditional medicine that has been used for healthy blood glucose and weight management. Fenugreek seed extract has also been extensively studied [10] for its glucose control, fat loss and weight loss benefits. Specifically, preclinical study showed that an active compound N55 isolated from fenugreek seed moderates plasma glucose according to prandial status by enhancing the response of physiological levels of GLP-1 and is much less likely to disrupt tight regulation of GLP-1R signaling as compared to GLP-1 RA drugs [11].
Ginseng (Panax ginseng) root extract (20% ginsenosides) - increase GLP-1, stimulate the release of insulin, help blood glucose, and improve insulin sensitivity *. Ginseng (Panax ginseng) root extract and its active ginsenosides have a long history for anti-obesity and antidiabetic effect in traditional Chinese medicine [12]. Studies have shown that such anti-obesity and antidiabetic effects might be partially attributed to its ability to increase GLP-1 regulations, stimulate the release of insulin, help blood glucose, and improve insulin sensivity via numerous pathways * [12, 13, 14].
White kidney bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) extract has been shown to inhibit the enzyme α-amylase, limiting carbohydrate digestion and absorption with beneficial effects on body weight and metabolic health * [15,16].
Chromium (III) is an essential trace mineral the human body needs for normal function and health. It forms a compound in the body to enhance the effects of insulin and help lower glucose levels. In addition to its effects on glucose, insulin, and lipid metabolism, chromium has been reported to increase lean body mass and decrease body fat, which may lead to weight loss in humans [17]. Study has also shown chromium might suppress appetite and thus reduce food intake and help lose body weight * [18].
In summary, MonaLean™ by Theramone Health™ is carefully formulated with plant-based, safe, and effective ingredients, powered by patent-pending GLP-1 signaling technology, and clinically studied to signal natural GLP-1 hormone, which is well-known for healthy glucose control, cravings control, and body fat loss * [19]. Each of these ingredients included in MonaLean™ are scientifically studied for its positive effect on GLP-1 signaling, healthy blood glucose, cravings control, and body weight management *.
